Description
nDLC finish on barrel and slide
The “diamond-like carbon” surface treatment on the new Gen 5 Glocks is a departure from the Tennifer type of nitrocarburizing of previous generations. The highly desirable properties imparted by nDLC are hardness, wear resistance and slickness. The bottom line is that the tougher and more durable finish offers increased protection against corrosion and scratching.
Redesigned Slide stop lever
Now left and right-handed shooters can manipulate the slide stop lever easier safely and comfortably.
Flared mag-well
The larger opening of the flared mag-well makes it easier to funnel a magazine into the mag-well especially useful stressful situations.
Removal of the finger grooves
The Glock 19 Gen 5 grip is now definitely more comfortable than Gen 4’s for the majority of users by removing these grooves. The Gen 4 RTF (rough textured finish) is retained.
Marksman barrel
The rifling and the crown of the barrel have been modified for increased precision.
